The Gluten Free Certification Organization has certified Inventure Foods’ facilities in Bluffton, IN and Goodyear, AZ. The Bluffton plant produces snack chips under brands including Boulder Canyon, T.G.I. Friday’s, Nathan’s Famous and Vidalia Brands. The Goodyear plant produces kettle-cooked potato chips under the Boulder Canyon, Poore Brothers and Bob's Texas Style brand names. All Boulder Canyon products will carry the gluten-free certification going forward.
Sales of certified gluten-free in the chip, pretzel and snack category grew 54 percent from 2010-2011, and Mintel estimates the gluten-free category will reach $8 billion globally in 2013.
