In Europe, they call it Internet 4.0. In the US, the buzzword is “Internet of Things.” Whatever you call it, smart manufacturing is the future of industry, and it will be in the spotlight at PACK EXPO Las Vegas (Sept. 28–30; Las Vegas Convention Center).
Smart manufacturing and its implications for today’s production environment will be the focal point of The Center for Trends and Technology, or CTT (Booth C-4829), sponsored by Rockwell Automation and its PartnerNetwork program. The booth, exclusive to PACK EXPO, uses educational sessions, ask-the-expert kiosks and informational displays to present technologies for serialization, machinery safety, mobility, cloud computing, networking security, line integration and line optimization.
“CTT is a one-stop-shop for understanding issues surrounding smart manufacturing,” said Cheryl Lange, Rockwell Automation commercial program manager. “We want attendees to leave our exhibit with the understanding and insights they need to consider how they’ll implement the Internet of Things in their plants.”
Attendees can also request a tour of OEM booths where they can see the CTT technologies in action.
Lange adds, “By presenting CTT at PACK EXPO, we can connect end users and OEMs from around the world and across a wide range of industries and applications. The cross-pollination effect that generates is invaluable to everyone involved.”
