The American Beverage Association (ABA) announced the re-election of Rodger Collins, president of packaged beverages for Dr Pepper Snapple Group, as chair of its board of directors, as well as other officers to the board.
Collins was first elected chair of ABA’s board in 2014, after having served as vice chair. The board also once again elected Jeffrey Honickman, chief executive officer for Pepsi-Cola & National Brand Beverages, Ltd., as vice chair and Ralph Crowley Jr, president and chief executive officer for Polar Beverages as treasurer.
“Our industry prides itself on its leadership. Our innovation in both our products and initiatives show that we are always actively seeking solutions to real challenges in our communities, whether it’s helping Americans reduce their calories from beverages or doing our part for the planet,” Collins said. “As board chair, I look forward to continuing to drive our initiatives forward and doing good work that is reflected in every neighborhood across our nation.”
“We look forward to continuing under Rodger’s leadership as ABA Board chair, along with the knowledge and experience that Jeff has brought to the executive committee of the board,” said Susan Neely, ABA president and CEO. “With the strong support and guidance of the ABA board of directors, our industry is able to present a unified voice on critical issues and achieve significant and meaningful results in the communities across America, when working together.”
Members of ABA’s board serve a four-year term and participate in semi-annual meetings that help shape association programs, policies and initiatives. Officers are elected annually. There are 28 members on ABA’s Board.
