The Kraft Heinz Co. will shutter its Lehigh Valley, PA plant on July 31 according to a WARN notice filed with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry.
The closure will affect 341 jobs. Last year, Kraft Heinz identified the plant as one of seven targeted for closing within the next two years, affecting more than 2,600 jobs. The other plants slated to close include facilities in Fullerton, CA; San Leandro, CA; Federalsburg, MD; Campbell, NY; Madison, WI; and St Mary’s, Canada.
Production at the facility—which manufactured Grey Poupon mustard, A-1 steak sauce and coffee—will be moved to other North American plants while the company explores potential options to sell the facility, according to the Pittsburgh Business Times.
