Created for making 3-D printed customized bag grippers, the Piab CBG software program allows robot/system integrators or end users to design/configure lightweight vacuum grippers for their bag/pouch handling robots. It comes with fully decentralized dust-proof vacuum generators, “bag-lip” suction cups with stabilizers around them, and an automatic quick-release function. When the gripper design is finished, it can be sent to Piab experts, who will confirm the design before production is started using the automatically generated 3-D print file.
