Coca-Cola Canada is investing $85 million (CD) in its Minute Maid plant in Peterborough, ON to produce Fairlife ultra-filtered milk. The new plant should be operational by 2020 and create 35 jobs.
The Starbucks distribution and roasting plant expansion in Minden, NV was completed on June 7. The 710,000-sq.-ft. expansion brings the total size of the facility to 895,000 sq.-ft.
Dick Cold Storage along with Tippmann Innovation opened Global Cold Storage, a new 100,000-sq.-ft. facility in Columbus, Ohio, which replaces a facility lost due to fire in 2016.
Arca Continental’s Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages subsidiary will build a $250-million, 1-million sq.-ft. facility in Houston, Texas. The plant will have five production lines and begin operations in 2020.
The Sazerac Company acquired a former General Mills plant in New Albany, IN and will convert the 460,000-sq.-ft. facility to process, blend, package and distribute premium spirits. The $66-million project will be up to full capacity by the end of 2021 and create more than 100 jobs.
