T & R Enterprise USA Inc. recalled about 118,000 pounds of pork and chicken egg rolls produced and packed in insanitary conditions, the USDA announced.

The agency’s Food Safety and Inspection Service discovered the problem during routine food inspection.

Institutional locations in Georgia and Missouri received the St. Louis company’s egg rolls. The recalled products made on dates from Aug. 1 to Sept. 26 are cases of:

  • 80 pieces of Silver Label pork and vegetable protein egg roll
  • 120 pieces of Dai Kin pork and textured vegetable protein egg roll
  • 120 pieces of Tita’s pork and textured vegetable protein egg roll
  • 120 pieces of Tita’s chicken and texture vegetable protein egg roll

The products have establishment number 33792 or P33792 inside the USDA mark of inspection.

There had been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions at the time of the recall announcement.

FSIS urged the institutions to check their refrigerators and freezers, throwing out the products or returning them to the place of purchase.
