The Grocery Manufacturers Association (GMA) will appeal the April federal court ruling that denied the association’s motion to stop a Vermont law requiring the mandatory labeling of genetically modified food from going into effect.

Dean Foods announced the launch of its national branded milk product “DairyPure”, a new label that combines its 31 regional products under one brand to strengthen the company and promote the quality of its product, according to the Associated Press. The company will use the new label in addition to its regional labels.

 According to a recent survey from Oceana, approximately one-third of all fish sold in the US is mislabeled.
