Butterball is recalling about 78,000 pounds of raw ground turkey that may be contaminated with salmonella, discovered in an investigation of a multistate outbreak that has sickened five people, the USDA announced.
The CDC says 60 people in five Midwestern states have become ill as a result of the outbreak, and among 47 people with information available, thirty-one cases (66 percent) have been hospitalized.
Triple T Specialty Meats, Inc is recalling about 20,630 lbs. of ready-to-eat chicken salad products, which it produced for the grocery store chain after reports showed that it may be contaminated with Salmonella Typhimurium.
